In April 1999, the internet was still a place of curiosity and confusion. Which is why Sidharth and Sudesh were inspired to start Dentsu Webchutney (erstwhile Webchutney). Their one simple aim: Get businesses to advertise online.
Widespread computer illiteracy made Sid carry his own desktop PC on Rajdhani journeys to Mumbai while pitching for new business. From a single room in Moti Bagh, New Delhi, Dentsu Webchutney has grown to offices in 3 cities. Gurgaon came first, with Mumbai and Bangalore following soon in 2005 and 2014.

Fun fact: We considered Singapore too. Laksa isn’t our thing.

Dentsu acquired Webchutney in early 2014. Being part of the global Dentsu Aegis Network allowed Dentsu Webchutney to dream bigger & bolder than ever before. Today, Dentsu Webchutney is more than just a creative agency. We aim to reinvent communication for the digital age, through innovative experiences that influence consumer behaviour. We’ve expanded into films, influence, media & the country’s first agency incubated innovation labs. We’ve collaborated with some of India’s most popular & successful brands. We’re home to some of the most creative talent in the business.
